North Base is a completely remodeled family home designed for use by groups of family or friends enjoying a Bay of islands holiday together. Elevated yet private, sunny yet sheltered, North Base is just a short stroll across the park to Paihia’s shopping and restaurant district, and it’s only five minutes’ walk to the beach.  The property is luxuriously appointed with all amenities you would expect in a quality New Zealand holiday home.

Located at 30 School Road, Paihia, North Base is easy to find and access for your stay.

At ground level of the main building is the one-bedroom North Base Apartment.

Upstairs is North Base House with sleeping for ten. Both units have areas for outdoor relaxation, are quite separate from one another as is their vehicle parking, and are soundproofed. Cleanliness is a priority and the property has a 5-star cleanliness review. All surfaces are disinfected then polished with alcohol as an extra precaution.

House and Apartment can be combined for larger groups subject to availability, and long-term stays at special rates are possible on enquiry.

The owners reside in the house next door and the door will be open and the welcome mat laid for your arrival. We are of service when needed, but otherwise you will not know we are there.
